Ready to Order? Ready to get started with your project? Below are some simple steps to guide you along in getting your project ready. This is the first and most fun step. It’s your first movie and you’re the Director. You have to gather all of your media and determine what you’re going to use or have digitized. Remember, if you can see it, we can digitize it. If you have certain memorabilia or objects (such as baby shoes, clothes, etc.) that you want as digital images or to be included in A DVD Slide Show we will photograph and digitize those as well. This is one of the most creative steps in the process. All of your items should be organized into groups. If you’re going to choose background music and they are going to be in any certain order for a DVD Slide Show, group things by theme or song based on your preference. Think about titles as well during this process and use an index card and write or type the title on it. This is the most important step of the process. Remember, you’re the director. Now that you have all of your items organized into groups, they need to be clearly numbered in the order you would like them to appear. Never use a ball point pen to write on pictures, negatives or slides. We prefer you use post-its on the back of photos and you can also use a permanent fine point marker with drafting tape on the back or on the edge of slides. If you’re using music, it’s important to create a song list and next to each song indicate which pictures the song should play with.
